Terry Gilliam, director of the movies Brazil and 12 Monkeys, among others, and former member of the Monty Python comedy troupe has completed his latest film. Unfortunately, according to io9, it still has yet to find a distributor even though it’s been playing at various film festivals around the world.
I think Gilliam creates some very interesting and compelling movies that don’t follow the typical Hollywood paradigm, which make them all the more interesting. I also think his sci-fi is great and outside the box, shying away from typical big budget sci-fi films that feature a lot of flashy effects but little substance and don’t particularly inspire any deeper thought.
The Zero Theorem looks like another great post-apocalyptic romp, and I hope it gets picked up somewhere. I would love to see it.
